Adult Ministry

There are many different opportunities for adults to experience personal and spiritual growth here at First United Methodist Church. We offer adult discipleship, recreation and the opportunity for all to find their own ministries, so that they can personally experience serving Christ.

Studying the Bible and experiencing God’s Word in a small group is a wonderful way to grow spiritually. We offer the following:

Adult Sunday School Classes
These classes meet all year long on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. See the Sunday School page for a list of currently offered classes.

DISCIPLE Bible Study
DISCIPLE Bible Study groups are an important part of our small group Bible study experience. Several times each year, new DISCIPLE Bible Study groups are formed. You can learn more about a particular DISCIPLE Bible Study by clicking on its title below.

Short-Term Bible Study
We offer several other short-term Bible studies throughout the year on various topics. Information on current Bible studies can be found here on the web, and in our Sunday bulletins, and monthly newsletters. We are always eager to begin new studies that meet the needs of our church family.

United Methodist Women (UMW)
Joining this group of committed women is a unique opportunity -- no matter who you are or where in your life you are at this moment. We have 6 circles that meet monthly, either during the day or in the evening.

United Methodist Men (UMM)
Meets on the first Saturday of each month at 8:00 a.m. in the Family Life Center. During our meetings we enjoy breakfast ($5) and have a variety of speakers. We also have occasional fundraisers and offer opportunities for service. Through the General Commission on United Methodist Men we are connected to other men around the world.
